When to book this service

Dust comes back quickly

If furniture and grilles are grey again a few days after dusting, or you see dark streaks on the ceiling around a diffuser, dust is likely being blown out of the ducts.

A musty smell when the AC starts

A damp, stale smell in the first minutes of running often points to a dirty coil, a blocked drain tray or dirt in the ducts. The company can check which one it is.

You have just moved in

Nobody knows when the ducts were last cleaned, or the building or villa was recently renovated. Construction dust in particular tends to end up in the ductwork.

Weak airflow in some rooms

If one bedroom never cools while others do, a clogged filter, a collapsed flexible duct or a closed damper may be the cause. A duct clean is a good moment to find out.

An AC duct cleaning service in Dubai deals with the part of the system you never see. Behind the ceiling of most villas runs a network of supply ducts that carry cooled air to each room and return ducts that bring air back to the unit. In apartments on district cooling, the ducts are shorter but work the same way. Over years of near-constant use, that ductwork collects dust, lint, sand and, near kitchens, a film of grease.

Why ducts get dirty in Dubai

Dubai homes run their AC almost all year, which means the ducts move air for thousands of hours. Fine dust from sandstorms and from nearby construction gets past filters that are not changed often enough. Return grilles near the floor or in corridors pull in lint and pet hair. And where warm, humid outside air meets cold metal, as it does in homes near the sea, condensation can keep dust damp. None of this is dramatic, but it adds up.

What a proper duct clean looks like

A good team starts by working out the layout: where the unit is, how many supply and return grilles there are and where the ducts can be reached. They protect the floor under each vent, open access points, loosen dust with rotary brushes or air whips and pull it out with a vacuum that keeps the ducts under negative pressure. Grilles are taken down and washed. Flexible ducts are handled more gently than rigid metal ducts, because they can tear.

Home Typical system Usual time
Studio or 1-bedroom apartment Fan coil unit, short ducts 3 to 4 hours
2 to 3-bedroom apartment One or two FCUs 4 to 6 hours
Townhouse One or two ducted splits Most of a day
4 to 5-bedroom villa Several ducted units or a package unit A full day

Credentials and who does the work

We do not clean ducts ourselves and we hold no certification. Some companies in Dubai are members of international duct cleaning associations or hold local approvals; if that matters to you, ask the company to show you its certificate and trade licence. The company you book is responsible for the work and for its team in your home.

A duct clean pushes air through a coil that may be just as dirty, so many people add AC coil cleaning. Apartments on district cooling usually need FCU cleaning alongside the ducts. Ask about AC duct sanitization if you want a treatment after cleaning, or mould inspection and cleaning if you see dark spots around vents. Browse the areas we cover or get a quote.

Frequently asked questions

How much does AC duct cleaning cost in Dubai?

As an indication, duct cleaning in an apartment starts from AED 450 and in a villa from AED 1,200. The number of vents, the length of the ducts, access and whether coils are included all change the price. The company confirms it before the visit.

How long does it take?

A one or two-bedroom apartment usually takes three to five hours. A four or five-bedroom villa with several ducted units can take a full day.

How often should ducts be cleaned in Dubai?

There is no single rule. Many companies suggest every one to two years in a normal home, and sooner after renovation work, a move-in or a period of heavy dust. Ask the company to show you the inside of a duct before deciding.

Will there be dust in the house afterwards?

A properly done job uses a vacuum that keeps the ducts under negative pressure, so loosened dust is pulled out rather than blown into the room. Floors and furniture should be covered, and a light wipe-down is normal.
